Freestanding, recessed or flueless. The choice usually comes down to the chimney you already have, and how much of the appliance you want to see.
Freestanding stoves
Wood-burning and multi-fuel bodies that stand on a hearth and radiate from all four sides. Suited to an existing chimney or a twin-wall system.
Inset and cassette
Fireboxes built into the wall with a flush or four-sided frame. The heat is convected, so the surround stays cooler than a freestanding body.
Gas, electric and flueless
For homes with no chimney, or where a solid fuel appliance is not permitted. Balanced flue, catalytic and electric fire beds.

An oversized stove is worse than a small one
A stove run below its nominal output smoulders, glazes the glass and tars the flue. We size on the volume of the room, the age of the building and the insulation, then match the flue diameter to the appliance rather than to the opening.
Send us the room dimensions, a photograph of the chimney breast and the flue liner size if you know it. We will tell you which models fit and which do not.

Palletised to the kerb, fitted by a registered engineer
Appliances ship on a pallet with a two-day booked delivery window across mainland Great Britain. A stove weighs between 70 and 190 kg, so plan for two people and a clear route from the kerb.
Solid fuel appliances must be installed by a HETAS registered installer, and gas appliances by a Gas Safe registered engineer. We can pass your postcode to installers we work with, or work alongside your own.
